House of Mu speaks Sophistication

First time visiting the Mohammad Sultan street and a chill vibe restaurant is nestled along the long stretch of street. Set in a dimmed light environment and greeted with a red “Missing U” fluorescent light, we see the sophisticated interior of “House of Mu” with dark brown furnitures that are supplied internally. House of Mu is originally a furniture shop so it is not surprising that its restaurant would also get beautiful and quality tables, chairs and sofas.

What was even better than the good ambience was the food! Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and taste of the food. The dishes we tried were all impressive and recommended with regards to it freshness, flavor and depth. Without further ado, the dishes that won our hearts are the Mushroom Soup, Scallop, Truffle Risotto and Munster Platter.

We started off with appetisers then what came along next were dishes that exceeded our expectations.

The Mushroom Soup is smooth, creamy and tastes really rich.

Scallop was extremely fresh, tender, moist and chewy. One of the best-cooked scallop I have eaten.

Truffle Risotto was amazing with its strong aroma of truffle whiffing in the air when it came to our table. This version of risotto is softer and has a stickier texture when chewed on compared to most harder risotto. There is also 2 pieces of crayfish meat on top. Absolutely love everything about this dish, from the creaminess to texture to aroma.

The Munster Platter – It would easily feed a group of 4-5 people with the monstrous amount of meat on the platter
