Located inside IBIS Hotel along bencoolen road, there are multiple MRT stations that you can take to reach here. Some of the nearer stations are Bugis, Bencoolen and Rocher station. IBIS’s TASTE buffet theme changes every 2 months to keep consumers coming back to try other cuisine and costs only $12++. For the month of January and February till 28th February 2019 12-3pm, IBIS will be having Local Chinese Cuisine lunch buffet.
To kickstart the buffet, we got to celebrate CNY with a lou hei where a huge image of a pig have been created using the Yu Sheng ingredients.
There is a meat section that comprises of Roasted Chicken, Braised Chicken and Roasted Duck. Just next to it, we have Chicken Rice to pair together with your preferred meat. Of course, you would have to get some roasted chicken to go with your chicken rice. Other than that, there are different sauces that are almost mandatory for chicken rice such as black sauce and chilli sauce in traditional cups placed just next to the meat.
This is one of the recommended dishes that you have to get at the buffet. It is soft, sweet and sour at the same time, a very homely dish.
These are some of the food you can get at this month’s buffet, Popiah, Hokkein Mee, Laska and even Chendol. Food like Laska and Popiah are customisable according to your liking.
This is another dish of the buffet that we would recommend to diners. The fish is boneless and soft, accompanied with the deep and strong flavour of the curry, goes well with rice.
As the buffet theme changes every 2 months, consumers will always be anticipating what they will be having each time. Besides that, in a single theme, there are many varying dishes that will be produced each day. Hence, every day of the 2 months will be different so you can try a wide range of dishes of the bimonthly’s theme.
