LG Electronics — the newest flagship smartphone, LG G7+ ThinQ

LG Electronics (LG) has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G7+ ThinQ, which combines artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, super bright display and surround sound features into one.

The LG G7+ ThinQ comes with an 8MP front camera and 16MP rear camera in both standard and Super Wide Angle configurations. The AI features of LG’s smartphone cameras have also been enhanced since they were first introduced in the LG V30S+ThinQ. The AI CAM offers 19 shooting modes, an increase from its previous 8 modes.

The many modes includes the Auto Mode, Manual Mode, Super Wide-Angle, Aspect Ratio, HDR and so on. The portrait mode is something i’m looking out for as well, as i take lots of pictures using the portrait mode, with my current phone. I’m excited to the cool modes out during my upcoming trip to Taiwan. I’ll be updating a lot on Instagram so do keep a look out.

The phone is first and foremost light weighted, and very sleek! When i first held it, i was very cautious of dropping it. I tried their scenic mode and they could identify what’s what, eg, trees, building, pool etc. Even when it’s indoors, i turned on the camera in my room and it could identify, human, bed etc. What a Smart Phone!

The best part is it’s supposed to shoot well even in low light conditions. It brightens images up to four times more than typical photos shot in dim light. Through the combination of pixel binning and software processing, the AI algorithm adjusts the camera settings automatically when shooting in low light.

Retailing at S$1,198 and available from June 2 at M1, Singtel, StarHub and other LG authorized retailers, the LG G7+ ThinQ will come in New Platinum Gray, New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue.
