Monti turns 1 and celebrates with specially curated Lunch Menu just for the month of April

Monti just turned ONE! And they are celebrating it with their newly and specially curated lunch menu by Chef Felix who believes in and takes pride in making his food from scratch — from the pasta to poached pears and even wine jellies.

Monti is perfectly located along the river line overlooking a very picturesque Singapore skyline. Here’s a picture of the MBS taking at the restaurant itself. We started with drinks and i had to get a refreshing mocktail.

Onion & Thyme Sea Salt Bread Roll, the butter is made in house and then packed individually into little tubes which looks like toothpaste, super cute! I love the bread so much i had seconds.

This no doubt is one of my favourite dishes, the Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallop is oh-so-juicy, has a firm bite and up a notch when topped with truffle caviar. It also comes with celeric purée, porcini mushrooms, and chestnut.

Burrata Cheese (Vegetarian option), is a nice medley of ingredients which includes Sicilian Eggplant, Heritage Tomato, and Olive Oil Caviar.

Also part of the vegetarian menu, the House Made Tagliatelle with Roma tomatoes, asparagus, green peas, kale and shiso is so fresh, al dente and springy, just the way i like it. I really enjoyed this dish because it’s not all tomato-y / sour and you really get to taste the different crunch and components.

This Acquerello Risotto is cooked perfectly, al dente, has a good bite to it, i actually love that it’s harder than those we have outside. Cooked with porcini mushrooms, chestnuts, bella lodigiano and seasonal truffle. This would make a great dish for me, i would likely have this again, alone this time.

My favourite of the night goes to the Cod, like an “yin-yang” this pan seared cod fish has two different sauces, the Squid Ink (Black) and Smoked Almond Romesco Sauce (Yellow), it was complemented with kale, asparagus, and mediterranean olives.

48-hours beef short rib was super tender it fell apart at a tug of the fork, not to mention, it is very succulent and flavourful. I love the truffle Pommes purée beneath. Accompanied by brussels sprouts, crispy toast, asparagus and Barolo wine sauce.

For dessert, we were treated to a 5-hours poached pear with red wine, red wine jelly, melon pearls, vanilla gelato and crème chantilly.

You can pick from either the regular set menu or vegetarian set menu, and enjoy it at a really affordable price of $48++, best news? It’s now going at a better price: 1-for-1 all lunches for the month of April 2018, you really wouldn’t want to miss this.
