Saybons specialises in soups and crepes, each dish goes through a lot of modifications, trial and error before they reach their customers. It is convenient for office workers and people who work out to grab a bite.
Escargot Gratin with 3 Cheeses ($11 for 1/2 dozen)
Cheese heaven – Blue cheese , Gruyere cheese and Gouda cheese with butter. Escargot drenched with these cheeses placed on crusty French bread is the perfect combination.
French Onion Soup ($8)
Impressive dish where the onion is so soft and tender. Chef used beef stock soup as it is the key ingredient for a good tasting onion soup.
10 Years in Shots ($10)
A dish to commemorate the 10th year of Saybons. The 10 soups in shots portions are WaterCress Chicken, Red Capsicum, Cauliflower, Carrot Coroander, Golden Pumpkin, Potato Leek, Broccoli Cheddar, Tomato, Seafood Bisque and Wild Mushroom. Their soup has no preservatives and can be kept in the fridge for 10 days and freezer for 2 months. This is only available till the end of Jan 2018 so head down to one of the outlets before it’s over!
Beetroot Crêpe with Sous Vide Chicken ($6.90)
Chicken breast, seasoned with herbs and spices.
Norwegian Salmon Aurora Galette ($14.90)
Galette with Gouda cheese, smoked salmon and mayo salmon quenelles. Healthy ingredients are used for the crepes in the good old fashioned way. Super generous portion for $14.90 and new on the menu! I would recommend this if you visit Saybons and maybe get a soup along with it.
Curried Pumpkin Risotto ($12.90)
Pumpkin broth with curry powder, asparagus and chicken fillet. Seldom like risotto but it seems that my views on risotto are slowly changing, especially with this unique risotto. Definitely can taste the curry in this dish while pumpkin gives the texture overall.
Rum & Raisin Flambéed Crêpe ($9)
Dessert time! Crepe filled with slices of banana and loaded golden soaked in Myer’s Rum for 18 days! Toasted silvers of almond that adds crunchiness to the Crepe.
Saybons positively changed my opinions on certain food that I used to refrained from. The passion and dedication to executing quality food impressed me.
