Firstly, don’t be deceived by the name – it’s no dessert stall selling tauhuay. Or was it just my self-misguided first impression?
Headed by Executive Chef Leung Wing Chung, this SCDH group of restaurants have been serving up authentic Sichuan and Cantonese dishes since 1996! spoilt for with newly launched dishes such as savoury “Pi Pa” Duck with Minced Black Garlic and Special Steamed Crab with Egg White and Umeshu ?
The signatures stay, for a reason – with the Braised Fish Maw, Abalone, Sea Cucumber and Conpoy in Brown Broth stealing the show for me. This silky soup is collagen-packed, carrying herbal flavour undertones with every spoon! Fit for an emperor’s meal, as the story goes. The signature Beancurd Medley (招牌豆中之重) comprised of beancurd in 2 distinct styles that was in perfect harmony for every mouth. I could literally have the whole plate to myself!! ?
No Chinese Grand Feast is complete without a good serving of meat and seafood. From Roasted “Pi Pa” Duck with Minced Black Garlic to Boiled Prawn with Chinese Herb, we had our savory tastebuds fully satisfied till the very end. The feast came to a beautiful conclusion with a super crispy deep-fried Peanut Cake in “Teochew” Style (out-of-the world, to say the least) and a refreshing Lemongrass Jelly.
From now till 30th Sept, the Grand Feast Set Menu is available exclusively at PARKROYAL in Kitchener Road, at $388 for 6 pax and $588 for 10pax! 🙂
