We ventured quite a bit and covered these places on our full day in 台中. We booked a driver for NT$2,300 and started the trip from 第二市场.
– No. 2 market place 第二市场
– Rainbow Village 彩虹眷村
– Tunghai University 東海大學
– Dakeng Lovers Bridge 大坑情人桥
– Mon Coeur 心之芳庭
– Zhongshe Flower 中社花市
– Yi Zhong Night Market and street 一中街商圈夜市
This is Rainbow Village 彩虹眷村, a small cultural village with murals drawn by Mr Huang – we managed to see him there too and i snapped a shot with him. Gave him some money for sustaining this work of art and to maintain the place. It’s worth going if you like art, and want something else besides eating and going to mainstream places.

There’s also a small bee farm at the end of the flower market, get a drink to quench your thirst! One bottle is NT$50.

Night markets are always close to the hearts of Taiwanese, they have so many night markets and i do enjoy visiting them! It’s like you get to eat all kinds of food at a go, street food over a real meal, anytime!
We got to try many varieties of food, not comparable to the “Pasar Malam” in Singapore. Of course, they each have their own beauty.
While you’re there, walk by the 一宗街 for some shopping.
