Yanmi Yogurt is launching their first-ever outlet in Singapore at Funan, and will officially be open to the public on 26 October 2019. To explain the meaning behind the brand name Yanmi, “Yan” means “beauty” and “Mi” means rice.
Yanmi’s Purple Rice Yogurt [S$4.30]
The signature drink of Yanmi is the purple rice yoghurt, the first one of its kind in Singapore. It is a nutritious drink that can be enjoyed by everyone and is currently very popular in China and Sydney.
There are other drinks that feature its signature sour yoghurt such as Chewy Oats Yogurt [S$4.30], Pure Pure! Avocado Yogurt [S$5.30], D24 Durian Yogurt [S$5.50], Dirty Dragon Fruit Yogurt [S$5.30], Man-mango Yogurt [S$4.90] and Strawberry Yogurt [S$5.80].
At Yanmi, only fresh yogurt is made, using Australian milk and purple rice specially imported from Mojiang, where each cup is carefully handcrafted upon order. The milk produced by cows that are raised on pollution-free grassland pastures.
The purple rice from Mojiang is known for its premium quality—with strict selection of the grain, it is prepared through ten industrial steps, including continuous process of soaking, boiling, filtering and steaming under careful temperature manipulation (75 degrees) and time control for over five hours to create theperfect sweetness and chewiness. The rice bits are refreshing and add a nice crunch to the velvety drink. Touted as the king of rice, purple rice is rich in vitamin B1,vitamin B2, folic acid, protein and more.
Their drink is the perfect substitute to bubble tea as purple rice is really chewy like pearls. It also makes a perfect beauty drink for ladies or healthy meal replacement for those on a weight-loss journey.
