Old School Delights uses original recipes passed down from generation to generation. They use the original methods of preparation that were handed down the family and more tedious to make the dishes. They also believe in using solely natural and fresh ingredients to get the flavours they want hence no MSG is used at all.
Mee Siam
They have been using the same 30 year old recipe, a secret blend of 11 freshly grounded spices, to create their signature Mee Siam. It is robust and flavourful, with the perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness and sourness. Compared to other Mee Siams, this is a game-changer and it does not have a flat taste. One of the dish you have to try if not you are really missing out.
Signature Nasi Lemak Supreme
It takes 14 gruelling hours to prepare this dish! Every single element of this signature dish is prepared from the wee hours in the morning from scratch. Even the sambal chilli is made daily from scratch using a special family recipe.
Laksa
This gravy of the Laksa is not thick or on the rich side. It is fragrant with the various herbs and ingredients used to bring out the original taste of Laksa.
Otah
The texture of this otah is different from the otah that comes in the Signature Nasi Lemak. This is thicker, more moist and softer, it also pairs well with Nasi Lemak as an additional side dish.
Chendol
Ample red beans and chendol on top of the ice with gula meleka syrup over it.
Adding on to the nostalgic experience, Old School Delights places old school games, such as Old Maid, Donkey or Five Stones, on every table. You can indulge in those games while waiting for your food to arrive or even while you are eating your food.
