Morganfield’s – Suntec City

Think Morganfield’s and sweet, tender, prime pork ribs spring to mind. Allow me to dive straight into it, because give me a slab and i could do without appetizers, desserts and anything else.

The Kansas Sweet BBQ Sticky Bones is the brainchild of  in-house BBQ sauce making experts after countless experimentation with both traditional and exotic ingredients. This new sauce perfectly complements the pork, inducing the right amount savoriness and topping it off with a hint of flame-kissed caramelisation. Living up to it’s Sticky Bones reputation, for sure.

Alright, i admit, not everyone is like me, who contents with just the mains. Fret not, those looking for a more wholesome course of starters and desserts are in for a treat too!

For starters, the Apple and Chicken Salad will bound to whet one’s appetite. Sitting atop a bed of fresh mesclun greens are fresh red & green apple slices and grilled chicken breast. Safe bet, any day.

If you fancy something heavy, the Loaded Chili Nachos will be sure to lift you off a savory start! Featuring our all time favorite Corn tortilla chips baked with – wait for it – a good load of cheeeeeeese!  Dig further and you would find your taste buds invigorated with the heavenly match of the house made Chilli Concarne, Corn Salsa, and Sour Cream. Oh and did i mention that it comes with some tender pulled ribs too?

New to the mains family are also the Beer-Battered Fish Sandwich and the Blackened Salmon.

Looks might be deceiving – the golden beer-battered hoki fish fillets are definitely a standout. Personally, i really enjoyed the warm ciabatta bread that sealed a sense of authenticity in the dish. After all, heroes need competent sidekicks too! 🙂

The Blackened Salmon is a visually stunning dish that was designed to impress. Norwegian salmon seasoned with Cajun spice, accompanied with tangy Corn Salsa and good ol’ Roast Potatoes. This is something that deliver what it promises. So go on and judge this book by it’s cover. It’s a damn good one.

Well, they say a meal is never complete without desserts. After a round of hearty mains, Morganfield’s made sure it proved that point.

The classic Chocolate Lava Cake. Rich, Chocolate-y cake encased with a warm molten surprise. Served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, this is decadence and delight at its finest! None of us could hold back on this one, and it was wiped clean within minutes! (That’s right. No shame, no gain. )

To round things off, The Morgan’s Bread Pudding provided a comforting experience that brought us home. Served with Jack Daniel’s whiskey sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this homemade pudding was pleasure with every mouth.
