Ninja Bowl

Ever since it opened it’s doors last year, Ninja Bowl has always been about balanced meals and eating clean. This new year is no exception. Ninja Bowl has decided to revamp its brunch menu and introduce a whole new range of brunch dishes… with a Japanese twist!

Aligot-O Gozaimasu ($18) is a refreshing Japanese twist on the classic French Pommes Aligot. Freshly made Pork Katsu topped with runny poached eggs and ume apple slaw for a nice tangy twist. Having said that, the star of the dish had to be the generous, unassuming dollop of mashed potato at the side – painstakingly handmade with a deliciously deadly combination of truffle, cheese and potatoes.

Ninja Okonomiyaki ($18) was an unexpected favorite! Mini savoury okonomiyaki pancakes were pan-fried for a nice crispy edge, and paired with fork-tender beef cheek that had been braised for 24 hours. For the perfect balance, eat them together with the poached eggs and a hint of that red ginger on the side!

Mentaiko Scrambled ($18) is for those out there who can never decide between going Asian or Western. Juicy, pan-seared Hokkaido scallops meets mentaiko scrambled eggs in this brunch special. Served with edamame, furikake and slices of warm toast on the side, this is a fusion that would definitely satisfy that inner foodie in all of us!

Steak & Udon ($18) is a one-up from the hearty udon dish we’re all familiar with. Chewy Inaniwa udon was served in a rich, homemade dashi broth and with shoyu-poached eggs. Topped with a grass-fed New Zealand flank steak that was well-seasoned, this warm bowl of goodness is sure to fill both your heart and tummy!

Fancy French ($16) is the brainchild of the owner’s wife. Filled with fig jam, the thick brioche was moist but nicely browned on the outside, topped with homemade hazelnut butter and drizzled with ume-boshi infused honey. Decorated with edible flowers, fresh grapes, plums and figs on the side, this brunch-dessert is great start off or end to any meal.
